Meet The Candidate

Tony Baldinelli was born and raised in Niagara Falls where he attended Stamford High School. He graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton in 1987, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, before obtaining a Public Relations Certificate from Humber College in 1995. Tony has worked for the Niagara Parks Commission for the past 18 years, where he currently holds the position of Senior Manager of Communications and Stakeholder Relations.

He started his career in 1988 when he moved to Ottawa to work for the newly elected MP Rob Nicholson, where he remained for 5 years. He worked as Legislative Assistant and later as Senior Constituency Assistant. After his time in Ottawa, he took a job at Queens Park working for the Ministry of Citizenship, Culture, and Recreation as a Policy Assistant for the Minister’s legislative agenda. In total he stayed at Queen’s Park for 2 years from 1995 to 1997. He moved to the private sector to work for Hill and Knowlton Strategies where he served for four years as Public Relations, Public Affairs and Community Relations Specialist.

Tony married his love Carol Bongers and they have a 13-year-old son, Daniel. Aside from being a family man, Tony is incredibly proud to be a lifelong Conservative. He has worked on many elections, helping in countless capacities. He’s been a Member of the Board of Directors for the Niagara Falls Conservative Electoral District Association for over a decade. In his spare time, he helps coach his son’s hockey team.

Tony has always had a desire to help others and serve his community. He wants to continue in the Honourable Rob Nicholson’s footsteps, and make Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, and Niagara-on-the Lake the best place it can be for families like his to live, work, and enjoy the place they call home.
